As frustrating as CA regulations can be, I believe this is why nitrous is illegal for street use here. I've always wondered what might happen in say a rear end collision with a little bit of spark involved eek

That pic is really old. 2-3 years ago, I think.

From what I can remember, it was installer error and NX should not be blamed. If you don't have the proper tools and skills to install a nitrous kit or any other major component, don't install it. Pay to have a trained professional to do the work for you if you can't do it properly.

I've seen this a while ago. They had this on the maxima.org board. The story is the idiot did the install himself. The bottle warmer was not wired correctly and was left on all weekend. The purge valve installed had also been modified for some reason causing that to fail as well. So the bottle just heated up till it blew it's top. But notice that the nitrous gas itself is not flamable!! It was a pressure explosion, there was no fire, or there would be nothing left but a pile of ash.
